| The Indonesian maid displays her wounds |
Kuwait City's police arrested a Lebanese housewife after an Indonesian maid escaped her flat, following four years of torture and slavery. The maid told the police that her employer imprisoned her "from day one", locking up every window and door in the flat to prevent her from escape after each torture episode. Four years later, the housewife forgot one door open, so the maid escaped to her country's embassy. She was escorted by a diplomat to the nearest police station where she presented her wounds and a medical report.
The Indonesian maid had a broken finger, broken teeth, swollen eyes and bruises in her body and head. The most surprising wound was caused by a razor on a "very sensitive" body part, thought to be her vagina.
Kuwait's police arrested the housewife who admitted causing physical harm to "discipline" her maid.
