Wafa Moghnieh, now in her thirties, is a major businesswoman whose companies stretch over three continents, and are worth millions. She has a major construction company which has done multiple project including building a port in Africa's Ivory Coast. She also owns modern boutiques and manufactures clothes in Dubai, Russia and Turkey. Her businesses in Latin America employ hundreds and include exporting 1.5 million tons of cocoa and coffee.
This information showed up in a couple of pages of a new book on female entrepreneurs in the Arab world; Hezbollah tried to stop the spread of this information by gluing the two pages (115-6) to each other. How stupid is that? Sometimes the most sophisticated organisation can make the most stupid mistake.
Another interesting story about Moghnieh's wife is that she is on bad terms with Hezbollah's chief, Hassan Nasrallah. He reportedly moved her from her apartment after Moghnieh's death; her apartment's decoration cost 450 thousand dollars!
She is extremely rich, and her vast wealth reflects what has happened to the party who claims representing the world's impoverished and repressed, al mustad'afeen. Here is the Sunday Times' account of the story, but it doesn't include much. More is to come, I guess, as it is highly probable if not certain that the businesses are directly related to espionage and security operations & dealings of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah.

The book was due to be launched at a party in the luxurious Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut but as guests began arriving, the author, Imad Shahin, 40, received an urgent telephone call from a Hezbollah official who insisted on an immediate meeting. Shahin, who had worked closely with the organisation, was told he could not go ahead with the launch. “Your book harms the interest of the organisation and cannot be published,” he was told.

Her success was due to available resources and, if you have the determination and courage to reach your goals, then everything will be possible. This is an inspiration for everyone to also realize that anything is achievable if you believe.
